Paper and computer tests

• Results for IELTS on paper will be released 13 days after your written test.
• Results for IELTS on computer will be available 3–5 days after your test.

IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills

• Results for IELTS for UKVI will be available 13 days after your written test.
• Results for IELTS Life Skills will be available 7 days after your test.

If you have taken your IELTS test in a test center, you will receive one copy of your Test Report Form, or two copies if you are applying to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You can arrange for your test center to post this to you, or you can pick it up in person.

IELTS Online

If you have taken IELTS Online, you will receive your Test Report Form electronically. It will be available 3–6 days after your test. 

Get your IELTS results online

Your results will also be available to view online for 28 days. (This should not be used as an official confirmation of your performance).

• Test takers who registered through the British Council will receive an email with a link to view their IELTS scores.
• Test takers who registered through IDP: IELTS Australia can access their IELTS results on their IDP account.
• Test takers who registered through IELTS USA will receive an email with a link to view their test scores on their IELTS USA account.

To access your results online you will need your passport or ID number (the same number you used when you registered for the test) and your candidate number. If you have any questions or problems, contact your test center. 

Sending results to chosen organizations

IELTS taken in a test center

You can request to send IELTS results to up to five organizations free of charge. Results can be sent to additional organizations for a small administration fee. Make this request with your test center.

If your test center has closed, you can ask for your IELTS results to be sent to your additional organisations by filling in the
Application for additional TRFs (from closed test centers) form. This service is available for up to two years from the date of your test date.

IELTS Online

You can send your IELTS results to as many organizations as you wish, with no additional fee. IELTS Online results are provided in an electronic format.  

Requesting a re-mark

If you are not happy with your result, you can request a review of your score(s) through a service called an Enquiry on Results (EOR).

During the review process:

• test papers are re-marked by senior Examiners/Markers, who are not aware of the original marks awarded for each test section (Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking)
• your test center is then notified of the re-mark result and if the mark has changed, they issue a new Test Report Form (TRF).

The result of your EOR will be available in 2–21 days, depending on several factors including the number of sections requested for a re-mark. If you have not received a response after 21 days, please contact your test center or IELTS Partner.

You must pay an enquiry on results fee, which is fully refunded if your band score changes. Contact your test center for more information about fees.
